Independence day

"At the stroke of the midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom. A moment comes, which comes but rarely in history, when we step out from the old to the new…India discovers herself again." 

 The day is celebrated to commemorate the birth of the world's biggest democracy as a national holiday. Schools and people hoist the national flag through out the country and put them up on the rooftops and the buildings. People only go to offices to attend the flag hoisting ceremony.

  The Prime Minister addresses the Nation after the flag has been unfurled recounting the country's achievements of the year, discussing current major issues and future plans for the progress of the country. Recently, kite-flying has become a tradition on this day and people can be seen flying numerous kites of all colors, sizes and shapes symbolizing the freedom.

  Flag-hoisting ceremonies are executed all over India by state governments. However, the chief event is conducted in the capital city of India, New Delhi where the Prime Minister of India unfurls the tricolor at the barricades of Red Fort which receives a salutation of 21 guns, and addresses the nation with his speech.

 At KIDZEE we initiated independence day with Flag Hoisting and gradually conducted the fancy dress party. All the children came in the attire of the patriotic leaders giving salute to them on their bravery.

WE SALUTE OUR BRAVE SOLDIERS WHO FOUGHT AT THE BORDERS FOR THE OUR SAFETY AND FOR THE SAFETY OF THE NATION

YELLOW DAY

 Today Yellow day was celebrated. Celebration of color days enchances the children to recognize the different colors available in their surroundings.

All the children were dressed up in Yellow signifying the day.

The cllasses were decorated with yellow streamers, yellow paper plate, sun...

Children were given Pooh and Winnie Pig colouing sheet for them to be able to identify the color.

RHYME of the day was:

"Yellow Yellow is the sun,

Shining down on everyone,

Yellow Yellow is the sun,

Shine on me, so I can have fun."

FRIENDSHIP DAY

Friendship Day celebrations take place on the first Sunday of August every year.On this day people spend time with their friends and express love for them. Exchange of Friendship Day Gifts like flowers, cards and wrist bands is a popular tradition of this occasion. 

                           “There are no Strings

                           Attached to a friendship

                           No bends to hold or ties to bind

                           Friendship stands on its own.”

This is the importance and essence of Friendship. Without friends life would be meaningless. The language of friendship is not words but meanings.

A friend says---- If you are in trouble, I am always there.

Friendship day was celebrated by tying friendship bands and exchanging cards

Without a doubt, friendship day gives us a chance to renew old acquaintances, to discuss old and new times and to recall good and bad times. ...

Parent's Day

 Origin of parent’s Day celebrations – In the year 1994 President Bill Clinton of the USA had felt that there existed a void in the absence of a celebration of a day that commemorated the contributions of both the parents in the lives of their children. There was a Mother’s day and then there was a Father’s day. But there was no such day that celebrated with both of them together. It was at his initiative that a resolution was passed that said that the fourth Sunday in the month of July every year would be celebrated as a Parent’s Day.

 Significance of Parent’s day celebrations – Parents in India are often referred as God’s representative on earth. They are sent here to care and nurture the children because God himself couldn’t be here. These are the two human beings with whom their children feel closest to at all times irrespective of their age. It is therefore significant for a variety of reasons that Parent’s day is celebrated by children for their parents.

• This is the day when children can make up for all those times when they were less caring and affectionate towards their parents
• In their venture to grow up and establish themselves children often forget to look back on the two most important people in their lives. This is the day that can help them to make a new beginning to undo their mistakes
• As parents get older earlier than their children regardless of age it makes them feel special and wanted to see a day celebrated in their name even in the frailty of their age
• It is a day when all children can see their future in the coming years. This could be a reason for them to do their best

Actually it is not possible to repay parents for their love, care and hard work that they undertook in our infancy. But there should be some reciprocation from the child. Parents give so much to the child and it is child’s part to acknowledge and reciprocate. Just like the father can give a full biscuit pack and the child can give at least one biscuit back to the father as token of love. So parents day is an attempt to celebrate the loving reciprocation between child and parents.

 At KIDZEE the elder children made a collage out of the family pictures and gifted to their parents and the younger children and their parents together did a combine drawing and colouring where the parents drew and the child coloured.

 We shared few points on how the child and paren relationship can be made stronger and about sharing a hug with the child to increase the bonding between the parents.

It's a great day for both parent and the child.

GREEN DAY

 Life without colours is dull. Colors play vital role on Child's life. Colours fascinate the children. Child's room coloring books, their school, their surroundings and all the coloured things hold their attention. We in Kidzee aim at nurturing the inner interest of the children in colours by celebrating colour day. Focusing importance on one color helps child to visualize. Today we had green day celebrations.

We had plantation today at our premises with these little hands of our tiny tots, who are also the future of our country.

 Green is a restful color with some of the same calming attributes of blue. Like blue, time moves faster in a green room.

Using Green with Other Colors:

Green with blue produces echoes of nature - water and forest and can denote new beginnings and growth. Green with brown, tan, or beige says organic or recycled and can be a good color combination for packaging of those type of products. Tri-color combinations of green with yellow and black or white are sporty, outdoorsy colors. Purple with green can be high contrast, lively. Lime green with orange and yellow is a fresh and fruity palette.
